WHAT WE DO

Calli Collective guides families through a process of growth, protection, and transformation. Our work includes:

• Family Healing & Decolonization Circles

Spaces where families explore grief, trauma, identity, and connection in a culturally grounded way.

• Parenting & Caregiver Support

Workshops and peer circles that uplift matriarchs and caregivers as leaders of the home and protectors of the next generation.

• Culture, Ceremony, and Identity Restoration

Teachings rooted in Indigenous knowledge, storytelling, and ancestral practice that strengthen belonging and pride.

• Youth Support & Intergenerational Connection

Creating bridges between elders, parents, and young people so culture, courage, and memory flow between generations.

• Safety, Boundaries & Collective Accountability

Tools for building healthier relationships, preventing harm, and addressing conflict without police or punitive systems.

• Family Preparedness & Protection Planning

Guidance for families to navigate crises such as detention, deportation, wage theft, and legal intimidation with confidence and community support.

• Calli-Based Organizing

Teaching families how to transform the home into a place of political education, mutual aid, and community leadership.

WHY CALLI MATTERS

Families are the first school, the first community, and the first line of defense against violence, exploitation, and erasure.

When the home is strong,

the barrio is strong.

When the family heals,

the community heals.

Calli Collective ensures our homes become places where:

  • Children feel protected and proud of who they are

  • Parents lead with dignity and power

  • Culture is not lost, but reborn

  • Healing is shared

  • Resistance begins with love

Calli is our Chimalli — the shield that guards our spirit, our memory, and our people.

PROGRAM VALUES

  • Culture is medicine.

  • The home is political.

  • Matriarchs are movement leaders.

  • Healing is power.

  • Care is resistance.

  • Family is the first movement.

JOIN CALLI COLLECTIVE

Calli Collective is open to families who want to heal, learn, and organize together.

To participate, attend our Semillas General Assembly every Friday, where we connect families to the right programs and opportunities.

FAMILY DEVELOPMENT

“The Chimalli of the Home.”

OVERVIEW

Calli Collective is the heart of Semillas Arizona — the space where families heal, rebuild, and organize from within the home.

We believe the family is not just a personal space; it is a political center, a cultural sanctuary, and a spiritual base for the community.

Calli is where memory is kept, where children learn who they are, and where our people recover the teachings that colonization tried to erase.

It is where the fight for dignity begins.

VISION:

Free, conscious families led by matriarchs and protectors who carry the memory, the wisdom, and the fire.

Homes where love is a discipline, where culture is lived daily, and where care becomes a radical act of resistance.

We envision a community where every household is a stronghold of healing, protection, and collective power — a Calli that shields the spirit.

MISSION:

To decolonize the family and rebuild the home as a political and spiritual base.

Calli Collective supports matriarchs, youth, and protectors in their journey to heal, strengthen, and organize from the heart of the home.

To care is to resist.

To love is to organize.

To protect the home is to protect the future.
